Top12Girls

"Last night, the Top 12 Boys performed for the chance to make it to the finals, some were given great criticism, some needed improvement. However, tonight, the girls will be performing for us and they are definitely in it to win it. But only six girls will make it through, and six will not make the cut. Ladies and gentlemen, this... is American Idol!" Ryan Seacrest says.

American Idol Title Card

"And now, let's give it up for your judges!" The announcer said. "Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj, and Mariah Carey!"

Keith, Nicki, and Mariah all walked out together, Keith held Nicki's hand as they both waved at the crowd cheering loudly, they all sat at the panel, while the announcer yelled, "And your host, Ryan Seacrest!"

Ryan walked out with his microphone and he amiably greeted everyone in the audience. "Greetings, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to American Idol! I'm Ryan Seacrest, and tonight it's gonna be the real deal when the girls perform tonight to make it to the final top 12. Judges, what do you think of the girls, do you think they will show off like some of the boys did last night? Keith?"

"Possibly. You know there's a lot of amazing singers out there and sometimes it's very hard to compare. The boys did a very good job but I'm sure the girls will do the same." Keith said.

"Nicki."

"I know all my girls are ready to slay those boys. I can picture it now." Nicki said, smiling.

"Mariah?"

"There's a lot of talented girls in this competition, so we'll definitely have to see how it goes." Mariah said.

"We will be going to our top 12 of the competition and tomorrow night, we will be revealing who stays and who goes. Let's introduce the girls! Ladies and gents, here they are!"

The girls all walked out and walked all the way to the stage with full of cheers and excitement the crowd gave applause.

"Let's all welcome the girls: Ella Miller, Cassie Chance, Alice Donovan, Cara Mel, Keisha Johnson, Esther Goldbloom, Jane McCabe, Kim McRiley, Emilie Parish, Erika Chase, Maria Rocher, and Amy Nakamura."

"To start things off tonight, we're gonna let the rapping-slash-singing-slash-rockstar, Amy Nakumara, take the stage. Let's take a look at her journey."

I'm Amy Nakamura, I'm 19 years old and I'm from San Antonio, Texas! Growing up without a father gave me my ups and downs, of course. I would do anything just to support my mother since my father was never really there for neither of us. I felt as if my dream was gonna come true when my mother took me to a jazz club, that's where the inspiration grew. I sang with my mother on the stage and then I was offered a record deal. Unfortunately, I turned it down since they wouldn't let me add what I wanted. I think that it's time to give back and auditioning for American Idol will give me that push forward to doing that.

Amy strutted across the stage with full of sass, and grabbed the microphone slowly... "You give me fever.... fever, oh."

She put her hand on her hip and danced slowly as the music began to play, "You give me fever, fever in the morning, fever when it's late at night, you give me fever. Fever when you kiss me, fever when you hold me tight, you give me fever. Fever in the evening, fever all through the night, you give me fever, yeah. Fever when you're with me, fever when you love."

"He's so sweet, he's so good to me, he's so intelligent, he's so confident, my baby's so damn sexy, my baby put the fever on me, my baby knows just what to do, you got me boilin past a hundred and two, you give me a fever, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, ooooh."

"Never know how much I love you, never know how much I care. When you put your arms around me, I get a fever that's so hard to bear. You give me fever, fever in the morning, fever when it's late at night, you give me fever. Fever when you kiss me, fever when you hold me tight, you give me fever. Fever in the evening, fever all through the night, you give me fever, yeah. Fever when you're with me, fever when you love. My baby's so damn sexy, my baby put the fever on me, my baby knows just what to do, you got me boilin past a hundred and two, you give me a fever."

She walked down to the other side of the stage, dancing in front of the band. "Everybody's got a fever, that is somethin you all know. Fever isn't such a new thing, fever started long ago. Romeo loved Juliet and Juliet felt the same, when he put his arms around her, he said Julie baby you're my flame, thou give me fever, when we kisseth, a fever with the flaming youth, fever I'm on fire, fever yeah, I burn forsooth."

"Now that you've listened to my story, here's the point that I have made, chicks were born to give ya fever, be it fahrenheit or centigrade. They give ya fever, when ya kiss em, fever if you live ya learn. Fever until you sizzle, what a lovely way to burn, what a lovely way to burn, what a lovely way to...burn. Fever."

The audience gave a round of applause and cheered loudly for Amy, and the judges were completely pleased. Keith changed his posture after clapping for her, and began to judge her. Amy's mother and family cheered for her.

"Amy, you seriously gave ME a fever. I love your sass, your style, your beauty, and your confidence, all of that really shows and your voice stands out amazingly. You did an amazing job tonight." Keith said.

"Thank you." Amy smiled.

"Best performance of the night so far. Girl, you rocked that. You hit a Beyonce, and I just love the way you sing that song, it's like it's yours and you turned it into something SO unique and something so beautiful to hear. If you aren't here in the finals, I will just be so disappointed." Nicki said.

"You gave me and Keith fevers tonight, does anyone have a thermometer?" Mariah said. "Darling, that was beautiful. Like the judges say, you showed yourself and your voice proved that you deserve to be here for a long time! Amazing!"

"Thank you so much." Amy grinned, and Ryan made his way to her.

"Amy, Amy, Amy!" Ryan said. "You are contagious. You made Keith and Mariah sick." "I didn't mean to!" Amy laughed and turned to the judges. Keith replied, "Look what you did to meeee!"

"If you want to vote for Amy, please vote after the end of the show, text 5701 if you want to vote, or go to the American Idol app and vote for your favorite. Thank you, Amy for performing."

"Now, we're gonna take a little trip to New York with our next contestant, Maria Rocher after this break, stay tuned."

Maria waved at the camera happily and smiled gleefully.

"Welcome back to American Idol, everyone, we're having the top 12 girls night, and we're continuing the night with our contestant, Maria Rocher who is sitting with me right now." Ryan said as she sat on the stage with Ryan near a Coca-Cola effect background.

"Hi." Maria giggled.

"So, how do you feel now that you're going to perform on a stage with a full crowd waiting for you to sing?" Ryan asked.

"Um, I do feel excited because I'm really happy I made it this far in the competition, it does mean a lot to me to perform in front of a large amount of people, although I can say I'm nervous since I haven't actually sang in front of a large crowd before."

"So, this is your first time?" Ryan said.

"Yes, definitely." Maria said.

"Well, hopefully, you can get through this, you're an awesome singer, of course. What will you be singing for the judges tonight?"

"I will be singing my acoustic version of Call Me Maybe." Maria said.

The crowd cheered as she announced it.

"Before you do, let's take a look on your journey before American Idol." Ryan said.

I'm Maria Rocher, I'm 16 and I'm from Brooklyn, New York. I do tend to be pretty shy at times due to my Social Anxiety Disorder, something I was diagnosed with ever since I was a little girl. But being an American Idol contestant will help me try to overcome the obstacles I face. Many think that I have a unique twist and I will just put my all in this to achieve my main goal: winning American Idol.

A guitar slowly played as Maria sang at the microphone, she sang, "I threw a wish in the well, don't ask me, I'll never tell, I looked to you as it fell, and now you're in my way. I'd trade my soul for a wish, pennies and dimes for a kiss, I wasn't looking for this, but now you're in my way. Your stare was holdin', ripped jeans, skin was showin'. Hot night, wind was blowin. Where do you think you're going, baby? Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here's my number, so call me, maybe! It's hard to look right at you baby, but here's my number, so call me, maybe! Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here's my number, so call me, maybe! And all the other boys try to chase me, but here's my number, so call me, maybe! Before you came into my life, I missed you so bad, I missed you so bad, I missed you so, so bad. Before you came into my life, I missed you so bad and you should know that, I missed you so, so bad."

The crowd cheered for her during the instrumental break, and she began to sing again, "It's hard to look right at you baby, but here's my number, so call me, maybe!

The audience cheered and the judges clapped for her too. Mariah started off to judge, "Maria, charming, sweet, and sensitivity was all in that song, I could feel you, I loved that you went to a different level with the song, it wasn't upbeat, it wasn't pitchy and it was far from bad. Good job."

"You know, Maria, when I first heard you sing for us at the auditions, I always felt like you were really shy to sing in front of us, and I definitely understand that. While I did think this wasn't your best performance we've heard since Vegas, I sparked a change in you. You started to come out of your shell a little more and that's what I love about you."

Keith recieved applause and Nicki began to speak. "This is when I have to be honest. You know I love you, babygirl. I... thought that it was a really too safe song for you. What I did love was that you made it different and unique as you always do with other songs, I just felt like you could have chosen a much better song that's more you, something that's actually your style and matches who you are, but other than that, well done."

Nicki recieved applause and Maria nodded her head agreeing with what she told her. Ryan walked to Maria, and Ryan began to speak.

"How do you feel about your performance tonight?"

"I thought I did my best, I thought that I could try to come out my shell a bit more and just be myself, but I think that's something I should work on."

"So, if you would like to vote for Maria, you may text IDOL02 to vote, but only AFTER the show."

"Coming up next, Erika Chase and Emilie Parish hit the stage with their very own chosen songs for the night AFTER this break." Ryan said.

Erika and Emilie smiled at the camera and quickly waved.

"Welcome back to American Idol, tonight is ladies' night and I'm here with the rapper Azealia Banks here live in the audience! How are you, hon?" Ryan said as the crowd cheered.

"I'm doing amazing." Azealia said. "Pretty good night so far."

"Guys, be sure to remember that Glee: Make It or Break It returns with all new episodes in 2 weeks. Keep a look out for Azealia to return with her own song, "BBD". Ryan said.

Azealia winked and waved at the camera.

"It's great seeing you, Azealia." Ryan walked away from her and began to introduce the next singer. "To continue our night, a Pittsburgh resident, Erika Chase, will take the stage, let's take a look at her journey."

I'm Erika Chase, I'm from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and I'm 26. Ever since I was a kid, I used to be in choirs, musicals, and I was given a scholarship to the school of the arts. When I realized that many loved my singing, many convinced me to audition for a record deal, so that's when I met Clive Davis, and auditioned for J Records. I got signed, but after a month, I was dropped. That moment I felt like I lost hope, I just wanted to give up. That was until I decided to make a new start and audition for American Idol, making it this far means a lot to me.

"You're going to Hollywood!" The judges said in unison.

Erika covered her face like she wanted to cry.

I just want people to know how dedicated I am to this show and people can really count on me to be someone and I want to be the person that everyone will admire in the future, and be a role model to the other kids who want to be a singer.

Erika walked to the microphone with a black dress and her glasses on. She began to sing, "Share my life, take me for what I am, cause I'll never change all my colors for you. Take my love, I'll never ask for too much, just all that you are and everything that you do. I don't really need to look very much further, I don't want to have to go where you don't follow, I won't hold it back again, this passion inside, I can't run from myself, there's nowhere to hide."

The crowd cheered as she hit a long note. "Don't make me close one more door, I don't wanna hurt anymore. Stay in my arms if you dare or must I imagine you there. Don't walk away from me, I have nothing, nothing, nothing....Don't make me close one more door, I don't wanna hurt anymore. Stay in my arms if you dare or must I imagine you there. Don't walk away from me, no, don't walk away from me, don't you dare walk away from me, I have nothing, nothing, nothing, if I don't have you, you, if I don't have you, oh you."

The judges all stood up and gave Erika a standing ovation and cheered for her while the audience gave applause as loud as they could. Keith was blown away as he sat back down and began to speak.

"Erika, you're killing me right now, sweetheart." Keith said. "That was just so powerful, and that song is a very hard song to sing, especially a Whitney song and I must say you made it much more easier. That was an amazing song for you."

"Thank you." Erika grinned.

"Ms. Erika, girl, let me just say.. you are what people want to hear every freaking day. No one can even pull Whitney, that's why I was scared of the fact that you were singing that song, but you seriously proved me wrong. You look beautiful tonight, and that voice was beyond that, good job, girl."

"Thank you, Nicki!"

"I remember hearing this song when I first began singing, I used to sing this every time. Whitney would be seriously proud of you right now, you just don't know it." Mariah smiled.

Erika was completely honored by that and Ryan walked to her and patted her back. "Erika, well done, congratulations! Mariah, Whitney Houston was a good friend of yours, do you think you could give Erika some advice?"

"Definitely, I think that you need to keep doing what you do because if you continue to sing like that, you will probably make it so far in this competition and you will be the star of the season."

Erika smiled and nodded her head at Mariah, and Ryan replied. "For Erika, vote online at americanidol.com, you can text vote to 5703, or call 1 866 IDOLS 03 and standard text rates may apply. Good job, Erika!"

"Thank you!" Erika shook his hand and walked off of the stage.

"Who's Emilie Parish gonna take on tonight, let's take a look at her journey!"

I'm Emilie Parish, I'm from Denver, Colorado, and I'm 21 years old. Before I joined American Idol, 7 years ago, my mother died of cancer. This changed me as I started to become addicted to drugs. I went to rehab, and I took up singing as my passion. I've been singing at school and I, one day, will be a lead singer of a band. I should be chosen for American Idol because of my unique personality and singing voice. I don't have the voice to belt out jaw dropping notes, but instead has a low voice for a female. If I won the show, it would prove the people can change; and it's never too late to make a comeback in your life.

"Hangman we played rubber soul with a razor blade, behind the church, hiding place, it was a long joke till, the punch line came. Can you read my mind? Read my mind, follow along 'til the end of the song. Hangman we played double dutch with a hand grenade, behind the church, hiding place. Apathetic to the devil's face. Wear the sheriff's badge put your toys away, they let us go saying let us pray! Hangman we played hide and seek on the fire escape, through the smoke we saw the flame it was a long, wait 'til the firetruck came. on the count of three, jump with me on the count of three.1... 2... 1... 2... 3... GO!!!! GO GO GO GO GO!!!! GO GO GO GO."

"Hangman we played blind man's bluff with the 9th Brigade throw the brick through the windowpane, double dutch 'til they stop the game, till the cops. Show up hand cuff stunned they let us go but we lost one! Hangman we played blind man's bluff 'til they stopped the game Youth without youth born without time, Youth without youth, can you read my mind?"

The judges gave a round of applause for Emilie, and Mariah started off to judge. "Hi, darling. How are ya?"

"I'm good, how are you?" Emilie greeted her back.

"I'm amazing, sweetheart, amazing just like that performance just now." Mariah said. "That was a really good song, although it may have been pitchy in the beginning, you brought yourself back up to the light."

Keith began to speak, "When I first heard you sing, Emilie, I always thought you were very different from the others, your style and the tone of your choice showed so much that made me believe that you have a style that no one else on this show has and I really like that about you."

"Emilie, at first I want to say, I like them shoes you got on, can I borrow them?" "Of course you can." Emilie said. "You can wear them after."

Nicki laughed, "I'd love to. But anyway, I thought your performance was pretty good, it did somehow bore me a little bit.."

Nicki was booed, and she shook her head. "But... but, like Keith said, I love how different you are from the other girls. You have a voice no one else really has and it's so odd and unique that it's so great."

"Thanks so much."

"Good job, Emilie. Now, Nicki, is there any other thing from Emilie you want besides her shoes?"

"Um... I want those earrings, you rock them things, girl."

"Of course." Emilie said politely.

"If you want to vote for Emilie, you may vote for her on americanidol.com, or text vote to 5704, and call 1 800 IDOLS 03 to vote. Good job, Emilie."

"Thank you." Emilie walked off the stage.

"When we come back, Kim McRiley takes the stage after this break, stay tuned." Ryan said.

Kim waved at the camera.

"Thanks for hanging out with us tonight as the top 12 girls perform their personal choice of song to make it to the top 12, but will Kim be one of those girls? Let's take a look at her journey before American Idol."

Hello, I'm Kim McRiley, I'm 19 years old and I'm from New Bern. When I was 10 years old, I lost my parents in a car accident and I had to take care of my 3 younger siblings by myself. After graduating from high school I didn't go to College and got a job at a supermarket to take care of my family. Everytime I felt alone singing made me feel better, sometimes it kept me alive. I even go on the streets with my family and sing there for homeless people and it makes me happy if I see them enjoying and appreciating what I do. This is my biggest motivation to get up in the morning knowing that I am important for some people.

"Listen to the song here in my heart, a melody I start but can't complete."

"Listen, to the sound from deep within, it's only beginning to find release. Oh, the time has come for my dreams to be heard, they will not be pushed aside and turned into your own all cause you won't listen...."

"Listen, I am alone at a crossroads, I'm not at home, in my own home and I've tried and tried to say what's on my mind, you should have known. Oh, now I'm done believing you, you don't know what I'm feeling, I'm more than what you made of me, I followed the voice you gave to me, but now I gotta find my own.."

"You should have listened, there is someone here inside, someone I'd thought had die so long ago."

"Oh I'm screaming out, for my dreams to be heard, they will not be pushed aside or worse, into your own all cause you won't listen..."

"Listen, I am alone at a crossroads, I'm not at home, in my own home and I've tried and tried to say what's on my mind, you should have known. Oh, now I'm done believing you, you don't know what I'm feeling, I'm more than what you made of me, I followed the voice you gave to me, but now I gotta find my own."

"I don't know where I belong, but I'll be moving on if you don't....if you won't.... LISTEN to the song here in my heart, a melody I've started, but I will complete."

"Oh, now I'm done believing you, you don't know what I'm feeling, I'm more than what you've made of me, I followed the voice you think you gave to me, but now I gotta find my own..my own..."

The judges clapped as well as the audience, although some weren't pleased either. Keith began to speak to Kim.

"Kim, I think that Beyonce is a very great singer and that is definitely a good Beyonce song but also a very tough one to perform. I felt like it wasn't good enough for you to sing because you do have a good voice, but it didn't exactly show for me this time."

Keith was booed and Nicki began to speak, "Hi, Kimmy."

"Hi, Nicki."

"So.. even though I don't want to, I have to agree with Keith on the fact that it wasn't the best song choice for you, it's kind of why I disapprove of people who sing Beyonce songs because singing some of her songs is a very challenging step to make and I felt like you didn't make it that far."

Nicki was booed and Mariah spoke.

"You know, Kim, I think that you having the courage to sing a Beyonce song on American Idol shows how much you want to be here, and I understand how hard it is for you, how did you feel?"

"I did feel a bit nervous performing the song, I should have went with something I was more comfortable with."

"That's my advice to you, choose something that's in your comfort zone, don't be risky if you can't go that far." Mariah said.

Kim nodded her head to agree and Ryan went to her and said "if you want to vote for Kim, you may vote for her on americanidol.com, or text vote to 5705, and call 1 800 IDOLS 05 to vote."

"Up next Jane McCabe takes Rihanna and Esther Johnson goes Broadway after this break, stay tuned."

Jane and Esther waved at the camera.

"We're back and we're down to seven more performers, but will one of them please the judges and the audience tonight? Let's take a look at Jane McCabe's journey before American Idol."

My name is Jane McCabe, and I'm 16 years old. I live with my family in California. I've always dreamed of singing in front of millions of people. Inspiring others and also being involved in charities to help people, especially innocent children that have cancer, different diseases. I want them to hear me sing and feel like they've been cured. I want to see people smile and cry when they hear me sing. I want to express everything that I felt, everything that happened to me in one single song. I want people to see me as I am. I don't want to be "created" as a world wide star but I want people to see me as I am and I don't want to change. I am a strong person that wants to change the world. I also want to help animals. I have few dogs from the kennel. I want people to get the dogs from there, not buy dogs from a breeder. I just want to help the world, and that would be enough for me. Even if I won't win it would be an enormous opportunity and an awesome experience.

"Story of my life, searching for the right, but it keeps avoiding me, sorrow in my soul, cause it seems that wrong really loves my company. He's more than a man and this is more than love, the reason that the sky is blue, the clouds are rolling in because I'm gone again and to him I just can't be true. And I know that he knows I'm unfaithful and it kills him inside to know that I am happy with some other guy, I can see him dying. I don't wanna do this anymore, I don't wanna be the reason why everytime I walk out the door, I see him die a little more inside, I don't wanna hurt him anymore, I don't wanna take away his life, I don't wanna be...a murderer." Jane walked up from the piano and sang with her microphone, "Our love, his trust, I might as well take a gun and put it to his head, get it over with, I don't wanna do this anymore, uh, anymore. I don't wanna do this anymore, I don't wanna be the reason why everytime I walk out the door, I see him die a little more inside, I don't wanna hurt him anymore, I don't wanna take away his life, I don't wanna be...a murderer. A murderer, no no no, yeah yeah yeah."

"Oh my goodness, Jane, you still have that spark in you that we saw at your auditions, it was well done. I am so proud of you. Your voice was stunning, what I wish you did was stay at that piano and play the song until the end, and honestly, I'm glad you didn't because you rocked it out at the end." Mariah commented.

"Thank you." Jane said.

"I loved listening to you sing that song, when I first found out that you were singing it, I was a bit scared since I never thought it would fit you, but you really do Rihanna justice, you and Trae somehow interest me with these Rihanna songs." Keith said.

Jane smiled and Nicki began to comment.

"Jane, baby. I don't know what to say... at all." Nicki said. "It was far from horrible, it was far from that. It's something about you that I love, and what I love is that you never change who you are. Your voice is so interesting to listen to, and I'd doubt that you will not make it far. Good job."

Ryan walked to Jane, "Congrats, Jane, how do you feel about the judges' comments." "I'm pretty proud of myself, I love the fact that they still see something in me that they saw when I auditioned and this can give me a chance to try harder."

"Very well said. Now, if you want to vote for Jane, you can vote on americanidol.com, you can text vote to 5706 or call 800 IDOLS 06." Ryan said. "Good job, Jane."

Jane smiled as she stood on the stage when Ryan introduced the next performer. "Now, we have a contestant from New York City, let's take a look at Esther Goldbloom's life before her journey to this show."

Hi, I'm Esther Goldbloom, I'm 25, and I'm from New York City. I have been an overachieving girl who has constantly been told no. That I'm just too "ugly" to be famous. That my nose is too big and that I'm not talented enough. I was raised in a Jewish Orthodox family and is very tied to her faith. I want to show the girls out there that no matter how you look, you can accomplish anything in life.

"Don't tell me not to live, just sit and putter, life's candy and the sun's a ball of butter. Don't bring around a cloud to rain on my parade! Don't tell me not to fly-- I've simply got to. If someone takes a spill, it's me and not you. Who told you you're allowed to rain on my parade! I'll march my band out, I'll beat my drum, and if I'm fanned out, your turn at bat, sir. At least I didn't fake it. Hat, sir, I guess I didn't make it! But whether I'm the rose of sheer perfection, or freckle on the nose of life's complexion, the cinder or the shiny apple of its eye, I gotta fly once, I gotta try once. Only can die once, right, sir? Ooh, life is juicy. Juicy, and you see I gotta have my bite, sir! Get ready for me, love, cause I'm a commer, I simply gotta march, my heart's a drummer. Don't bring around a cloud to rain on my parade! I'm gonna live and live now, get what I want--I know how, one roll for the whole show bang, one throw, that bell will go clang, eye on the target and wham one shot, one gun shot, and BAM... Hey, Mister Arnstein, here I am! I'll march my band out, I will beat my drum, and if I'm fanned out, your turn at bat, sir, at least I didn't fake it. Hat, sir, I guess I didn't make it. get ready for me, love, cause I'm a commer, I simply gotta march, my heart's a drummer. Nobody, no, nobody is gonna rain on my paraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaade!"

The judges applauded with the exception of Nicki, and the crowd cheered for her, as well as her family and friends, she walked further to the stage and Keith began to comment.

"Esther! Gosh, sweetheart, that was a mindblowing performance. Broadway connects with you so well, and hearing you just lightens up my day." Keith said. "Thank you so much!"

"Hey little ladybug." Nicki said. "Um, I do want to say this... in the beginning, I thought it was a bit boring..."

Nicki was booed until she tried to continue, "But I never thought I could have been more wrong, when you hit that long run at the end, it's like you woke me up and made me fall in love with you more, I want you to keep on doing what you do and promise me you will make it so far."

"I loved this performance, I really did, and your voice was slaying, you made the song way more interesting than any other one who performed it, I'm proud of you and I really hope you get as much votes to stay."

"Good job, Esther," Ryan said. "If you want to vote for her, remember you can go to americanidol.com, or text VOTE to 5707 or call 800 IDOLS 07."

Esther was making number signs as he was talking, begging and miming. She left the stage as Ryan gave her a handshake.

"Now, we have 2 powerhouse girls coming your way. Will Keisha Johnson and Cara Mel rock the house down? We'll see after this break."

Keisha and Cara crossed their arms and showed off sass to the camera.

___________________________

"We're back and with only 5 more performances to go for the night, remember the results are in on Thursday, but remember, you guys get to choose who stays and who will spend their last day in American Idol. But will Keisha be one of those who stays? Let's take a look back at her experience."

Hello, I'm Keisha Johnson, I'm 18 years old, and I'm from Houston, Texas. After losing my father and mother in a tragic car accident, I was devastated at a very young age to witness the death of my parents. It was a horrible moment for me and it still is stick in my head at this moment. Without my parents, I had to live in foster care, however, due to be treated poorly, two adoptive parents took me, and I was able to follow my dreams then and there. Being a good student at school gave me a myriad of opportunities to sing and be a star, and American Idol was the answer to my wishes. I think I could have the talent and the style to be the next American Idol, I want to show everyone out there that we are in it to win it and I want to be powerful and be a role model to many others.

"Looking out on the morning rain, I used to feel so uninspired..." The crowd was pleased and already rooted for her.

"And when I knew I had to face another day, lord, it made me feel so tired. Before the day I met you, life was so unkind, but you're the key to my peace of mind. Cause you make me feel, you make me feel, you make me feel like a natural woman. When my soul was in the lost and found, you came along, to claim it, I didn't know just what was wrong with me til your kiss helped me name it. Now I'm no longer doubtful of what I'm living for and if I make you happy I don't need to do more. Cause you make me feel you make me feel, you make me feel like a natural woman. Oh, baby, what you done to me? You make me feel so good inside and I just wanna be close to you you make me feel so alive. You make me feel, you make me feel, you make me feel like a natural woman. You make me feel, you make me feel, you make me feel like a.... natural ..... womaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan... yeahhhhhh."

Keith, Nicki and Mariah all stood up for a standing ovation, and the crowd loudly cheered for her as her adoptive family jumped up and down with a large poster saying, "WE LOVE YOU KEISHA!"

"Oh, my goodness." Mariah said. "Do you know how awesome that was? To take the Aretha Franklin song? Damn! I mean darn! Keisha, you are just like a mixture of Aretha, Whitney, and Chaka Khan.. hearing your voice just makes me want to buy your album, just like that. If you all don't vote for her, I don't know what is wrong with you all!"

Keisha giggled and commented, "Thank you so much."

"Keisha, hearing your backstory, it's very touching, how are you actually handling that all now?"

"I am doing okay, now, it's definitely not that easy getting over someone you really loved, you know. But now I have my adoptive family here to support me and I am so grateful to be here."

"And I am so grateful to hear your voice, darling. It's something about you that shows that emotion, that sass and all of that hurt and pain you put into your music, I can say that you have definitely evolved into a stronger performer of the night, wonderful job."

"Thank you!"

"Keishaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!" Nicki said in her crazy voice. "Look at you looking all sexy tonight with your long beautiful legs showing, yo' hair all looking good, that dress, those shoes. Can I borrow them?"

"Of course you can!"

"We can work something out after the show, but still, you rocked that thing girl like it was your own song. I can't even judge you, there's no reason for me to judge you, you shouldn't even be on this show because you should already be a star by now, period."

Keisha covered up her face and Ryan walked to the stage, "Good job, Keisha! So, Nicki, ANOTHER thing you want to borrow?"

"I want those shoes, period." Nicki said.

"You can keep them," Keisha said. "I'm nice like that."

"Oh, girl, what size are you?"

"I'm a size 6."

"I'm a size 6, too, yes, they work right!"

"So, if you want to vote for Keisha Johnson, you can go to americanidol.com, you can text VOTE to 5708, or call 800 IDOLS 08. Wonderful job, Keisha."

"Thank you."

"Now, let's get to our next performer we met in Vegas, oh yeah, we're talking about Ms. Cara Mel, latin lover."

I'm Cara Mel, I'm 17 years old, and I'm from Vegas, Nevada. I was actively supporting LGBT rights, I have been experiencing a celebrity lifestyle, I've been a back up singer for any bands in casinos and clubs. My parents were divorced 3 years ago. I love with my loving mom who always supports me. Yes,I'm an only child , a 17 year old girl who wants to pursue my dreams as a solo artist, I've been singing since I was 7 years old. I am home-schooled due of bullying. You can say I'm a very fun, attractive, adventurous and workaholic girl at a young age. But in the other side of me,, there are still a stage fright, even though I've been performing since I was 10 as a back-up. I'm very inspiring and a dreamer. I'm aspiring to be a solo artist and can inspire teenagers around the world, I loves my mom, and I'm going to do everything to help her. I have the personality that people want to be with and learn new ways from her, I have the guts to fulfill my dreams and make a living.

Cara stood still on the stage as music began to play and she held the microphone stand. "She's just a girl and she's on fire, hotter than a fantasy, lonely like a highway. She's living in a world and it's on fire, filled with catastrophe, but she knows she can fly away. Ohhhh oh oh oh oh, she got both feet on the ground and she's burning it down, ohhhh oh oh oh oh, she got her head in the clouds and she's not backing down.."

Cara took off the microphone and walked towards the sides of the stage where a fire in the background blasted behind Cara. "This girl is on fire..."

The crowd cheered for her. "This girl is on fire...she's walking on fire...this girl is on fire..."

"Everybody stares, as she goes by, cause they can see the flame that's in her eyes, watch when she's lighting up the night, nobody knows that she's a lonely girl and it's a lonely world, but she gon' let it burn, baby, burn, baby, this girl is on fire...this girl is on fire...she's walking on fire... this girl is on fire..."

"Oh, oh, oh, oh ohhhhh oh oh oh ohhh oh oh oh ohhhh...oh, oh, oh, oh ohhhhh oh oh oh ohhh oh oh oh ohhhh... she's just a girl and she's on fire...."

Nicki gave her a standing ovation while the crowd cheered for her, and Nicki began to comment. "You know what have been much better about your performance? If I was up there doing my verses to that song."

The crowd cheered and Cara laughed. "No one understands how much that song means to me and you did an awesome job. I want to call Alicia so bad and tell her how awesome you did, and you know what, that is what I'm gonna do."

Cara covered her mouth in shock and replied, "Thank you so much."

"Cara Mel, you're 17, right?" Mariah said.

"Yes."

"I can say that you and Keisha have been the most powerful singers so far tonight, I can't imagine what this show would be without you two. You did an amazing job with that song and I really would love if you do more Alicia, because she fits you so well."

"Thanks!"

"I didn't like the performance..." Keith said. He recieved boos and all until he said. "You want to know why? I loved the freaking performance."

Cara looked relieved and Nicki tapped Keith on the head. "Boy!" The crowd cheered once again.

"I really did love the performance, it was just your style, and I always had a feelint that you would sing that song and make it your own, awesome job."

"Jeez, Keith, you scared Cara there, I saw her reaction." Ryan said.

"It's good to put a twist and joke around." Keith winked.

"I can see that. To vote for Cara, go to americanidol.com, text VOTE to 5709 and call 800 IDOLS 09."

"Good job, Cara."

"Now, coming up next, Alice Donovan has her turn to shine, be right back."

Alice waved at the camera bashfully.

"We're back, American Idol's Top 12 Girls are performing tonight, and with only three performances left, Alice Donovan takes the spotlight, let's take a look at her journey."

I'm Alice Donovan, I'm 25, and I'm from San Diego, California. I grew up in a family that had a very high work-ethic. Istarted working when I was 6 years old in my mother's corner shop and hasn't stopped since although I would like to break out of the working shell I have. I married her high school sweetheart and cowboy at heart Tate Donovan when I was 20 and gained my love of country music and music in general through him although 4 years ago, Tate was in a car accident and became paralyzed from the chest down which devastated me but Tate kept on persuading me to follow my dream and not let taking care of him get in the way. So I auditioned for American Idol.

"She loved him like he was the last man on Earth. Gave him everything she ever had, he'd break her spirit down then come lovin' up on her, give a little, then take it back. She'd tell him about her dreams, he'd just shoot 'em down, lord he loved to make her cry, you're crazy for believin', you'll ever leave the ground, he said, Only angels know how to fly. And with a broken wing, she still sings, she keeps an eye on the sky with a broken wing. She carries her dreams, man you ought to see her fly, one Sunday morning, she didn't go to church. He wondered why she didn't leave, he went up to the bedroom found a note by the window with the curtains blowin' in the breeze. And with a broken wing she still sings, she keeps an eye on the sky with a broken wing, she carries her dreams, man you ought to see her fly. With a broken wing, she carries her dreams, man you ought to see her fly."

Nicki and Keith stood up for an ovation, while the crowd cheered for her also. Keith began to comment. "Hi, Alice, how are you feeling?"

"I'm feeling good, a bit nervous, but good."

"That was just so beautiful, everything about it made me smile. A Broken Wing is one of my favorite songs and when I found out you were singing it, I was already amazed." Keith said.

Alice smiled shyly.

"Hi, Ali." Nicki said. "Sweetheart, you have no reason to be nervous, be confident and have the courage to show who you are. I loved this performance by you, not because of the song, but because you made the song your own. This was by far the most interesting performance of the night."

"Thank you so much."

"I remember when I said that you needed to change and be more brave to sing, but even though you said you were nervous, I could see you shining out there, feeling comfortable, and that's what I loved about your performance. You did an amazing job vocally, physically and mentally."

Ryan walked to Alice, and smiled, "Great job, hon. For Alice, if you want to vote, you can go to americanidol.com, text VOTE for 5710, and call 800 IDOLS 10. Good job, Alice, see you soon."

"We're getting down to the end, and before we do, will Cassie Chance show off tonight? We'll see AFTER this break."

Cassie smiled at the camera.

"We're back and we're down to two performances for the night, and we're getting our next one from Cassie Chance, will she outshine tonight?"

I'm Cassie Chance, I'm 18 and I'm from Dallas, Texas. I grew up in my grandparents' house and had never met my mother. My mother was addicted to drugs and when she turned two years old, my mom just disappeared. The following year, my father was arrested after unintentionally hitting a man when he was drunk driving. Only living with my grandparents, I have a hard time accepting myself and my dream is to possibly find my biological mother. My grandparents pressured me to be perfect and not ending up like my parents, that made me very self-conscious and began to develop a disorder called Anorexia Nervosa so I could maintain my perfect body image. I should be chosen as a contestant of American Idol because I am incredibly talented and performing in front of millions is one of my dreams. Being chosen will also give me the opportunity to meet my mother since the show is broadcasted all over America.

"If I had just one tear running down your cheek, maybe I could cope maybe I'd get some sleep, if I had just one moment at your expense, maybe all my misery would be well spent, could you cry a little? Lie just a little? Pretend that you're feeling a little more pain? I gave now I'm wanting something in return, so cry just a little for me, if your love could be caged, honey I would hold the key, and conceal it underneath the pile of lies you handed me, and you'd hunt and those lies - they'd be all you'd ever find and that'd be all you'd have to know for me to be fine. And you'd cry a little, you'd die just a little and baby I would feel just a little less pain, I gave now I'm wanting something in return, so cry just a little for me, give it up baby, I hear you're doing fine, nothing's gonna save me, I can see it in your eyes, some kind of heartache. Honey, give it a try, I don't want pity, I just want what is mine. Could you cry a little? Lie just a little? Pretend that you're feeling a little more pain? I gave now I'm wanting something in return, so cry just a little for me, yeah, cry just a little for me, whoa whoa. Could you cry a little for me?"

She was given a round of applause and Nicki began to start to comment. "Cassie, you know you're one of my barbies, right, and I can keep it real with you, right?"

"Yes."

"I didn't really think this was your best performance. The thing I know is that you tried, and you tried, and that's what I'm proud of. But I really think a better song choice could have worked for you." Nicki said.

Nicki was booed, and Mariah began to speak. "Honestly, I didn't really see anything wrong with it. But I do agree that you tried to put your all into it, although I wish we could have saw the audition girl we met a long time ago. You know? Other than that, it was a cool performance."

"Thank you." "You know, Cassie, when I heard that you were in search of finding your mother, I could see the emotion in your eyes when you sang, it may not have been as strong, but you still kept pushing to do good, and that's what's great about you."

Ryan walked to her and asked, "How did you feel during that performance?"

"I did feel like I struggled a bit to sing, and I should have chosen something better, I did have a lot of hard time with it due to my mother."

"I can totally understand. If you want to vote for Cassie, go to americanidol.com, or text VOTE to 5711, or call 800 IDOLS 11. Good luck, Cassie, and we'll see you soon."

"Last but not least, we have the youngest contestant out of the group, Ella Miller, performing for us tonight after the break."

Ella quickly waved.

"Welcome back to American Idol, with 11 girls performing for the chance to make it to the top 12, there is still one girl that is questioning her fate next. Ella Miller's journey.."

Hi, my name is Ella Miller, I'm 15 and I'm from Dallas, Texas. I came from a rich family, my father is a professional architect, and my mother is stay at home mom. But when I was in junior middle school, I lost her father in tragic car accident, I became a loner after that. But, when I watched broadway shows in my school, I found my passion, that was singing. And when my older brother, James Miller heard me sing, James thought it was wonderful, I should be in the broadway. I knew that God gave me music talent. Because I am the youngest contestant, I do have a beautiful voice according to others, I'm ready enough, and I have high musicality.

"1, 2, 3, YES!"

Ella covered up her face in shock.

"There's a fire starting in my heart. Reaching a fever pitch, it's bringing me out the dark, finally I can see you crystal clear. Go 'head and sell me out and I'll lay your ship bare. See how I leave with every piece of you. Don't underestimate the things that I will do, there's a fire starting in my heart, reaching a fever pitch and it's bringing me out the dark. The scars of your love remind me of us, they keep me thinking that we almost had it all, the scars of your love, they leave me breathless, I can't help feeling, we could have had it all, rolling in the deep. You had my heart inside of your hand and you played it, to the beat. Throw your soul through every open door, count your blessings to find what you look for, turn my sorrow into treasured gold, you'll pay me back in kind and reap just what you sow, we could have had it all. We could have had it all. It all, it all, it all, we could have had it all, rolling in the deep. You had my heart inside of your hand and you played it, to the beat. We could have had it all, rolling in the deep. You had my heart inside of your hand, but you played it, you played it, you played it, you played it to the beat."

Ella recieved a standing ovation from the judges and the crowd and everyone cheered her own.

"Man, I don't even know how many times I've gotten out of this chair." Keith said. "I am just blown away by your voice, sweetheart, really blown away, you're so young, yet you're so powerful at the same time. This was definitely the best performance of the night, seriously."

Ella covered her face with surprise.

"Ella, babygirl... you just really took me to a place I never thought I would be. I can't believe you have those freaking vocals. That is a gift that God definitely gave you, and here's a thing, listening to you, you just inspire me so much that I'm all out of words here right now, I don't even know what else to say because you're so beautiful and you're really amazing and I can't even imagine what would happen if you were not here on this stage right now. Ella, you just rocked it!"

Ella began to smile, looked as if she was going to cry. "Thank you so much."

"I can see that you're holding back the tears. It's okay to cry, no one knows how hard it is for you, and I understand that. You have the talent and you should be in the studio right now singing your heart out. But you're also 15, and you know that you have so much time ahead, but with a voice like that, you can do ANYTHING."

Ella began to cry softly and Ryan smiled and put his arm around her shoulder. "I can see you're crying, how do you feel?"

"I'm just so happy that I can have a chance to be here right now and sing for you guys, it's just an amazing experience so far."

"If you want to vote for Ella, go to americanidol.com, text VOTE for 5712, or call 800 IDOLS 12."

Ryan hugged Ella and she began to wipe the tears from her eyes and smiled.
